GHMC to take up tree plantation in 10,000 acres
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is planning to take up tree plantation in 10,000 acres. A 1000 kilometer stretch of green curtain is also being planned to make the Hyderabad a clean and green city.

Somesh Kumar, Commissioner, GHMC said that apart from the tree plantation, 71 foot over bridges in various locations are planned and tenders have been called and works would be taken up on priority. The Commissioner also appealed the property tax payers to pay their property tax to serve them with better facilities. Incentives to the bill collectors would be increased and he instructed the tax inspectors and bill collectors to do their work diligently.
The Commissioner requested the employees to come forward with their grievances pertaining to promotions and other work related matters and assured them that their problems would be looked into.
