Saina Nehwal Takes up Clean India Mission in Hyderabad. Saina Nehwal,the Indian ace badminton player and BPCL sportsperson led the Walkathon organised by BHARAT PETROLEUM as part of SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN at the Territory office in Hyderabad on Thursday, 25th December 2014 at 9.00 am. She participated in sweeping the road during the walkathon.

Saina Nehwal,the Indian ace badminton player and BPCL sportsperson led the Walkathon organised by BHARAT PETROLEUM as part of SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN at the Territory office in Hyderabad on Thursday, 25th December 2014 at 9.00 am. She participated in sweeping the road during the walkathon.

BPCL officials, Dealers, Distributors and their staff along with Contractors and vendors participated in the Walkathon. While addressing the gathering she thanked the Hon’ ble Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Shri. Dharmendra Pradhan for having nominated her as one of the Brand Ambassadors of Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan and expressed her happiness to accept the responsibility and vowed to work for the noble cause.

She urged all to actively participate in the movement initiated by the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi and make India a clean and green country as envisaged by the Prime Minister.

She said" Parents should inculcate the habit of cleanliness and personal hygiene in the children right from a tender age".

She also nominated 5 sports personalities namely her present coach, Mr. Vimal Kumar, her former coach, Mr. Pullela Gopichand, her colleagues in the court, Shri. Guru Dutt Sai, Shri. Parupalli Kashyap and Ms. P.V. Sindhu to carry forward the Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan movement.

The gathering was welcomed by Mr. T.N. Sridhar, the Territory Co-ordinator (Retail), Hyderabad and a bouquet was presented to Saina Nehwal by Mrs. Pavani of Vamshi Fuel Point, Hyderabad.

A cake was cut on the occasion by Ms. Saina Nehwal as part of Christmas celebrations.

The Walkathon event was followed by a brief press meet where the media posed a few questions on her future plans, and preparation for All England BadmintonTournament.
