Day temperatures rise again Nizamabad records 43º C. The day temperatures once again rose in Telangana with Nizamabad recording the highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius in the Southern region.

Hyderabad: The day temperatures once again rose in Telangana with Nizamabad recording the highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius in the Southern region. On Monday the maximum temperatures appreciably rose at one or two places in Telangana and Rayalaseema. They were appreciably below normal at one or two places in Telangana, below normal at one or two places in rest of Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh and above normal at one or two places in Rayalaseema.

The recorded maximum temperatures in Telangana were :Adilabad 41, Bhadrachalam 37, Hakimpet 34, Hanmakonda 42, Hyderabad 36, Khammam 37, Mahabubnagar 40, Medak 39, Nalgonda 38, Ramagundam 39 In Andhra Pradesh the maximum temperatures rose at one or two places in coastal AP and appreciably rose at one or two places in Rayalaseema.

They were below normal at one or two places in coastal AP and normal in Rayalaseema. The highest maximum temperature of 41 degrees celsius was recorded in Kurnool and Anantapur. The other recordings in the State were: Bapatla 36, Kakinada 38, Kalingapatnam 35,Kavali 37, Machilipatnam 36, Nandigama 38, Narsapur 37, Nellore 38, Ongole 37, Jangamaheswarapuram 39, Tuni 36, Vijayawada 38, Visakhapatnam 36, Anantapur 41, Arogyavaram 35, Kadapa 38, Kurnool 41, Tirupati 39.

Thunderstorms occurred at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours ending 8 30 am on Tuesday. Isolated rainfall occurred over coastal AP and Telangana. Mandasa in Srikakulam district recorded five cm of rainfall on Monday. There was four cm of rainfall in Salur (Vizianagaram) and three cm in Mudhole ( Adilabad).

The Met office on Tuesday issued a warning that thunderstorm with squall may occur at isolated places in Telangana on May 13. It said that heavy rainfall would occur at isolated places in coastal AP on May 16. It forecast isolated rain or thundershowers in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours. On May 15 and 16 rain or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Rayalaseema. Isolated rain or thundershowers may occur over Telangana and coastal AP.
