Day three of the Kingfisher Ultra Hyderabad International Fashion Week continued on a high note as local and international talent came together. Design house Mebaz played with tradition. Model Sadhna Singh raised her voice against rape and international designer Sanjana Jon took up the cause of stopping violence against women.

Mebaz, known for their rich Indian silhouettes, did what they always do best – blend the traditional and the contemporary. Heavy embroideries embellished the silhouettes and innovative textures added an interesting design element. The stunning Srishti Rana added glamour quotient to the show as she walked down the ramp in an eclectic silhouette. Shreedhar Rao made heads turn as he walked down the ramp as the showstopper.

Aastha Pokharel was announced to have won the Kingfisher Supermodels 2 show on NDTV Good Times. Aastha will get a chance to be featured in the legendary Kingfisher Calendar 2015 besides four other models. The contestants of Kingfisher Supermodels 2 were captured on lens by photographer Vivek Gundavaram.

Gurpreet Singh, assistant vice-president, marketing, United Breweries Ltd, said, “Every year we encourage new faces and give them a platform to showcase their talent. The Kingfisher Supermodels 2 pictures showcased here are spectacular and capture the beauty of the models in an interesting way. The winner Aastha Pokharel is very promising and I’m sure she is en route a remarkable career.”

The grand finale designer New York-based Sanjana Jon dedicated her collection to the cause of stopping violence against women. The renowned designer was inspired by radiating golden light that represents youth, womanhood and joy. Her collection was a true reflection of gorgeous contours of femininity, buoyancy and fluidity with its delicate interplay of textures and vibrant colours in alluring silhouettes. Sanjana showcased an exquisite amalgamation of western and Indian wear, leaving the crowd yearning for more.
