kcrReacting for the first time on New Delhi developments, Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrasekhar Rao stated that Congress party could not be trusted until it ensured passage of Telangana Bill in Parliament. Women and Dalit Reservation Bills are clear examples of how Congress deceived the people of the country, he added.

Former union minister and Mudhole legislator S Venugopala Chary joined the pro-Telangana party in the presence of KCR at a programme held at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday. A large number of supporters from Adilabad district dnned pink scarfs on this occasion. Addressing the gathering, KCR observed that referring Telangana issue to Congress Core Committee or Working Committee would not serve any purpose. Congress is deceiving public of the region right from 1956, and unfolding new drama every time, he fumed.

Putting paid to the talk of a possible merger with Congress, the TRS chief said that the pro-Telangana party was here to stay. Telangana Rashtra Samithi would play a key role in reconstruction of the new state, he said and added that he was getting messages from intellectuals, students, farmers and well-wishers urging him not to repose faith in Congress blindly.

KCR was highly critical of Congress senior leader V Hanumantha Rao, who earlier said that no one would be seen around the TRS chief's house once Telangana state was formed. Slamming owner of a vernacular daily for terming him a loner, KCR warned him of severe consequences. Speaking earlier, Venugopala Chary stated that the long standing dream of Telangana public would only be fulfilled by the TRS party.
