Ever since Hard rock Café has made its entry to Hyderabad, it has established a name for itself, not just for live bands, karaoke and DJ but for its Legendary Burgers and the regular food festivals. One such festival which I’m usually found of is the Mexican Salsa Nights.

It’s a month long event until 28th September, which is a celebration of Mexican culture with Tequila, Margarita, Burritos & Tacos. To start off with the Tex Mex Salad accompanied with a Mexicana Cosmopolitan Cocktail was the perfect start. The freshly chopped mixed greens tossed with spiced walnuts and cheddar cheese is definitely a one of a kind salad that you would ever have, while the Mexicana Cosmopolitan Cocktail is a perfect fusion of Tequila, Cranberry and Lime juice that compliments the Salad.

The Fire Cracker Crunchy Chicken Strips was a definite winner for its burst of spices and flavor of tangy chipotle. The Tijuana Chicken Tender which is marinated with smoky Tijuana spice combined with Guacamole Ranch was just outstanding. The Spicy Corn and Cheddar Cheese Samosette will definitely appeal to all the vegetarians.

It was crispy, soft and when had with Basil Pesto Dip, it was outstanding. The Orange Tequila Prawns was the star of the night, infact every year I usually look forward to this event only to try the Tequila Prawns. King sized prawns is reduced with orange chipotle sauce and then flambéed with Tequila for smoky appeal, this entire process makes The Orange Tequila Prawns unique and a must try to anyone visiting Hard Rock Café.

A Mexican meal is never completed without a Quesadilla, Burrito & Tacos. The Smoked Chicken and Tangy Bean Tacos was simply irresistible because of stuffing of grilled seasoned chicken, shredded lettuce, olives, Pinto beans & sweet corn, making it one of the best tacos I’ve had in recent times. The Smoky Char Grilled Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla though on a heavier side, is the most authentic quesadilla you would have in this part of the town. It was exactly the way I expected it to be. The BBQ Chicken Tostada was decent enough but not the best I’ve had.

For the vegetarians, the Albuquerque Veg Burrito, Samosette and the Assorted Vegetables & Crusty Cottage Stuffed Tacos are the must tries. After a gastronomical taste of Mexico, The Sizzlin Skillet Scorched desert which is a walnut brownie topped with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream would definitely make you go for a second repeat.

Mexican food is not just about Tacos, Burritos & Quesadilla, but Margaritas and Tequila as well that complement the food. Flip over to the other half of the menu and Hard Rock brings you a wide selection of Tequila shots, Margaritas and Cocktails. Cactus Flower Shot which is thrilling mix of Tequilla and Tobasco sauce would definitely blow your mind, while the classic Margarita would for sure compliment the food.

Don’t be surprised if you are welcomed by the staff dressed in Poncho outfit and a Mexican Hat, and if you are lucky you might also witness the staff shake a leg to the Mexican music.

Mexican Salsa Nights, is a definite recommendation for anyone who is looking to try the authentic Mexican cuisine, this event definitely brings you the Sound, Culture and Taste of Mexico to Hyderabad.
