TDP leader turns BJP candidate, In a strange turn of events here Telugu Desam Party has lost its senior leader Gandra Satyanarayana to Bharatiya Janata Party to which local assembly seat was allocated as part of poll pact between the two parties.
Bhupalpalli (Warangal): In a strange turn of events here Telugu Desam Party has lost its senior leader Gandra Satyanarayana to Bharatiya Janata Party to which local assembly seat was allocated as part of poll pact between the two parties. Satyanarayana who aspired to contest for the seat on TDP ticket was now doing so on BJP ticket. It was said the BJP state president G Kishan Reddy has insisted on allocating the seat to BJP. However, the party could not field its own man as none of the BJP leaders were keen to contest for the seat. After a serious hunting for suitable candidate the party zeroed in on a veteran BJP leader Ch Janga Reddy, who was found to be disinterested to fight the election. But he found a solution by inviting TDP leader Satyanarayana to join BJP by offering the ticket to fight the election. The TDP leader, who was raring to join the fray, immediately joined BJP to file nomination on Wednesday.
