Rajahmundry: Narendra Modi is a dictator and the country would be in danger if he becomes the prime minister, Congress leader and campaign head of the party Chiranjeevi stated here on Friday.
He said that Modi bulldozed the top brass of the BJP like LK Advani, Jaswanth Singh and Murali Manohar Joshi in his bid to emerge as the undisputed leader of the party. The former Union minister said that this would spell disaster for the country.
He wondered how a person, who could not protect the lives people during Godhra riots, could protect the nation. He mentioned that the fate of TDP, BJP and YSRCP which are responsible for the present turmoil are in the public court and urged the people to punish them with the power of vote.
Explaining that the ideas and vision of Pawan Kalyan is different from his vision, he made it clear that they both shared the same goal though the ways were different. However, he made it clear that all those people who wanted to decimate the Congress party were his opponents.
Coming down heavily on TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, he opined that rather than going it alone, Naidu betrayed the minorities by forming alliance with the BJP. He went to the extent of charging that Naidu ignored the credentials of a Muslim candidate to accommodate his brother-in-law, Balakrishna in Hindupur. Chiranjeevi pointed out that the social justice is possible only through the Congress party and the Congress did not disappoint him as he merged the Praja Rajyam Party into it to achieve social justice.
Chiranjeevi faulted the former chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for not efficiently explaining about the ground realities to the Congress high command. He alleged that Kiran did not share anything with other leaders about the bifurcation though he knew everything.
