Purandeswari holds out to Muslims. BJP Rajampeta Lok Sabha candidate Daggubati Purandeswari said that she would do her best for the completion of the pending projects if she was elected.

Tirupati: BJP Rajampeta Lok Sabha candidate Daggubati Purandeswari said that she would do her best for the completion of the pending projects if she was elected.

At a meet-the-press programme, organised by APUWJ Chittoor district here on Friday, she said completion of the pending projects including Galeru-Nagari, Handri-Niva, and Telugu Ganga was the only way for fulfilling the water requirements including irrigation and drinking water problem of the drought-prone Rayalaseema districts on a permanent basis. She said people have been flooding her with complaints about severe drinking water shortage.
Stating that she would focus on improving basic amenities, she said that she would take into confidence the local people’s representatives including the MLAs, ZPTCs, MPTCs and councilors for improving them.
On Muslims’ aversion towards BJP (they are predominant in many Assembly segments) she said that she was committed to the wellbeing and progress of Muslims and other minorities.
It is BJP senior leader LK Advani who introduced Urdu news in All India Radio when he was Union Information Minister and again it was BJP which took up construction of Haj houses in many cities for the benefit of Muslim pilgrims, outside Mumbai,” she said.
On the support of TDP cadres, she admitted that there were some hiccups here and there which were minor. She said that Chandrababu Naidu had already made it clear that he would not spare anyone who worked against the alliance. “Overall the support from TDP local leaders and activists to me is excellent,’’ she added.
