Conference would be held in October in the city
Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain said that prestigious World Congress Metropolis Conference, which would be held in October in the city, would be a top priority for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
Majid Hussain said that signs and road markings would play a vital role in beautifying the city. The Mayor pointed out that if the plans for Metropolis Conference were in place, all GHMC regular works would be planned out accordingly. He opined that the state’s Chief Minister should take up this task to boost the image of the city and the Telangana State.
The Mayor said that a lot of importance has to be given to 360 heritage structures under the GHMC limits and renovations must be taken up.
He directed the Commissioner to form individual committees for heritage renovation and signs within two days by involving floor leaders so that the committee could take up the works on priority.
Playschools by GHMC
The Mayor said that 1,500 community play schools named Muskan were being planned under the GHMC limits and those would run on the lines of Bachpan, with the support of GHMC. In the first phase, 150 schools would be started at locations where buildings were readily available. The attendance of the children would be monitored online.
