“I love traditional dresses, particularly sarees. I am also more comfortable in sarees,” says Tejaswi.

Born in a businessman’s family in the city, Tejaswi thanks her parents for encouraging her to enter this field. She claims that her parents also want her to become a model promoting sarees. She also gives credit to her friends who keep on encouraging her.

Sharing the joy of being crowned as Miss Sampradaya 2014, Tejaswi says, “Sarees add beauty to women and also represent the South Asian culture.”

Interestingly her mother Syamala, an accountant, was Tejaswi’s costume designer and beautician. “My mother is my greatest inspiration and what I am today is because of her support. I dedicate this victory to her,” says Tejaswi with a smile on her face.

She also thanked Top Gear manager Vijayasri Gupta, who supported her in the contest. She says Vijayasri Gupta had created a platform for her to display her skills and finally win the crown.
