Nephrologist honoured with Vaidya Ratna award

Teja Arts, a cultural organisation, honoured Dr G Sarath Babu, kidney transplant specialist, with ‘Vaidya Ratna’ award at a function in its office at Suryaraopet on Wednesday. HRD Group managing director Thondepu Hanumantha Rao presented the annual award to Dr Sarath in recognition of his valuable services to the poor and needy.

Speaking on the occasion, Hanumantha Rao lauded the services being rendered by Dr Sarath Babu of Vijaya Super Speciality Hospital to the poor by organising medical camps regularly. Dr Sarath Babu had also obtained permission from Jeevan Daan Foundation for organ transplantation at Vijaya Hospital. Later Dr Sarath Babu and his wife Dr G Prasanthi were felicitated.
