Sampoornesh challenges smokers to kick the butt
In a bid to highlight the harmful effects of smoking, Sensational Star Sampoornesh Babu took part in 92.7 BIG FM’s ‘Dhammu Untey Dhammu Odiley’ campaign on World No Tobacco Day.The station had shortlisted contestants on the basis of their life journey, stories of why they started smoking and why they decided to quit.

In a bid to highlight the harmful effects of smoking, Sensational Star Sampoornesh Babu took part in 92.7 BIG FM’s ‘Dhammu Untey Dhammu Odiley’ campaign on World No Tobacco Day.The station had shortlisted contestants on the basis of their life journey, stories of why they started smoking and why they decided to quit.
Three contestants with the most motivational responses across were selected to take part in the three day contest from May 28-30. Over a span of three days, BIG FM monitored the participants under the supervision of experts, doctors and family members. Participants faced various challenges with real-time hourly updates on-air, thus testing their resolve to quit smoking or consuming tobacco.
Sampoornesh had recently given up smoking and supported the cause and encouraged the participants. He also gratified the winner who left smoking on the realty show. Dr Ramana Cherukuri, director, Asha De Addiction Centre, constantly counseled the participants and encouraged them to give up smoking.
