The college was full of life with the new pass outs along with the current students of engineering presenting a mixed scene of anxiety and excitement.

The college was full of life with the new pass outs along with the current students of engineering presenting a mixed scene of anxiety and excitement.
“I’m nervous as this is my very first placement test,” said G Tejaswi, 2015 Engineering pass out from Hanamkonda. She has done Engineering in Varadareddy College, Warangal. She had missed few opportunities before and was looking forward to make this placement test successful.
Experiencing four placement tests before, Prathyusha an IT engineer, attended the Mela along with friends. “Because of my experience and with my professors guidance, we joined the computer language and communication skills courses after completion of engineering graduation,” she said. Most of the students appeared for the Mela came through the online recruitment website.
“Communication skills are the main criteria next to the 60 percentage in Engineering or the other qualified degrees. EEE, ECE, CS and IT are the engineering branches in which we are hiring today,” said Rama Rajan Chatterjee, recruiter from HCL, IT & Technology Company, Noida.
Many of the clients belong abroad such as US, convincing and dealing with them is the main part of the job therefore communication skills are equally important to technical skills, he added. 150 candidates are offered jobs in HCL from all over India. HCL Company offers 200,000 per annum for each of the recruited.
Problem solving capability, communication skills and computer languages are the checked and tested for the students attending, along with the Engineering and qualified degrees, said Satya, the representative of Bhea Technologies Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru based Company. He notifies that the written test for technical knowledge is conducted today.
For the students who are shortlisted, the psychometric test will be conducted on August 7 by the Bhea Company members themselves. Bhea offers 1.8 lakh to 2.4 lakh per annum for each candidate. “On July 25, many other companies are coming for this placement drive and there is an estimation of 2000 candidates attending the drive on July 25,” said Methodist College Principal, Giridhar Akula.
