Seminar on chemical research and analysis
St Francis College for Women, Begumpet, organised a UGC sponsored two-day national seminar which flagged off on Friday in the campus. The theme of the seminar was “Frontiers in Chemical Research and Analysis.” Over one hundred and forty delegates attended the seminar including academicians, research scholars and students.

The seminar provided a common platform for academicians, people from industry, research scholars and students to share ideas and update their knowledge in the realm of chemical research. S Chandrashekar, Director, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad inaugurated the seminar and Dr Virendra Kumar Gupta, Sr. Vice President of Reliance Research & Development Centre, Mumbai gave keynote address on the topic “Chemistry Driven Innovation in Polymer Industries: Indian Perspectives”. Prof LN Sharada , Head, Department of Chemistry , Osmania University and Dr JB Gupta, Chief Scientific Officer, GVK Biosciences were the Guests of Honour.
