Gurupuja Mahotsavam today

Guru Sishya Brindam of K Hari Prasad Nataka Kala Samithi will organise ‘Gurupuja Mahotsavam’ at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao government Music and Dance College on Thursday.

Chintha Anjaneyulu, K Hari Prasad Rao, P Jaganmohan Rao and K Suryanarayana Rao memorial awards will be presented to Bandela Shyam Prasad (harmonist), Jonnalagadda Jaganmohan Rao, Atluri Venkata Ranga Rao (founder of Viswa Bharathi Educational Institutions and Sarojini Institute of Technology) and V Purna Chandrasekhar respectively at the Mahotsavam.

A scene from `Sri Krishna Rayabaram' verse drama, a dance ballet by P Hemanth Kumar, mono action and other cultural events will also be presented at the award function.

Nataka Kala Samithi’s general secretary K Ganesh Kumar on Wednesday said, “the Mahotsavam was planned to commemorate the rich contribution of Chintha Anjaneyulu, K Hari Prasad Rao, P Jaganmohan Rao and K Suryanarayana Rao to the stage art by presenting awards on their names to eminent persons from different walks of life.”
