NIT classes from September, says Ganta Srinivasa Rao. Education minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has said that the National Institute of Technology (NIT) will commence classes from the last week in September.

Education minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has said that the National Institute of Technology (NIT) will commence classes from the last week in September. Rao visited Vasavi Engineering College at Tadepalligudem where NIT temporary accommodation was allocated. Addressing a press conference the minister said that so far 395 seats in NIT have been filled up and that Vasavi was selected for temporary buildings.

“After bifurcation, the Centre had sanctioned seven Central Institutions to state. As the West Godavari people gave full majority of fifteen seats in the district, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has selected West Godavari for NIT,” he said. Vasavi Engineering College secretary Chalamcharla Subbarao, Principal J Srihari Rao Eluru, RDO N. Tej Bharath participated in the conference.
