An art exhibition titled ‘Kalam Chitranjali’ was inaugurated at Aakriti Art Gallery at Madhu Malaxmi Chanbers on Thursday. As many as thirty artists from Kakinada, Bhimavaram, Eluru and Vijayawada displayed their works on the life of APJ Abdul Kalam.

The expo was organised by the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada as a tribute to the late president. Speaking on the occasion, management consultant MC Das described Kalam as a statesman who was passionate for self-reliance and scientific development of the nation.

He exhorted youth to follow the ideals of the Kalam who led a simple life. Artists Giridhar, A Sunil Kumar, D Durga Prasad, K Subrahmanyam and Andhra Arta Academy general secretary Golla Narayana Rao were also present.
