Google's new Nexus smartphones which were globally announced last week in San Francisco will be launched in India on October 13. Google's new Nexus smartphones - the LG made 5X and Huawei made 6P have been highly anticipated and will run Google's latest operating system Android Marshmallow.
The Nexus 5X particularly has been a long time coming. It is the successor to the Nexus 5, which was launched back in 2013. It has a 5.2-inch FullHD display, a high-end 6-core processor, 2GB RAM and a 16/32GB memory options. The phone on the back has an impressive 12-megapixel camera which has a 1.55 um pixels that absorb more light, a dual-tone-LED flash and a laser autofocus system.
There's also a fingerprint scanner on the back, which Google calls Nexus imprint. On the front, the phone has a 5-megapixel camera. It also has a 2,700mAh battery with the USB Type C connector with fast charging capabilities.
For the Nexus 6P, Google has partnered with Chinese smartphone maker Huawei for the first time. It is also the first Nexus smartphone to be fully clad in metal. It has a bigger 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 2,550x1,440 pixels, a high-end 8-core processor paired up with 3GB RAM. The phone will be sold in 32/64/128 GB flavours.
It has a 12-megapixel camera with large 1.55 um pixels and laser autofocus system. There's also a dualtone LED flash. Like the Nexus 5X, it also has a fingerprint scanner on the back. The front is home to a 8-megapixel selfie camera. The phone also has other niceties like wireless charging support, the USB Type C port with fast charging and also a rather capacious 3,450 battery.
The phones will run on Android Marshmallow with new features like 'Now on tap', Doze and also system wide refinements. The prices of both the phones have been revealed. The Nexus 5X will start at Rs 31,999 and the 6P will launch at Rs 39,999.
