Hyderabad: Justice C V Nagarjuna Reddy of the High Court at Hyderabad on Saturday directed the officials of the GHMC to submit a report on facts of the case pertaining to Narayana Educational Institute at DD Colony in Hyderabad.

The judge was dealing with a petition filed by residents of the colony, questioning the action of the educational institution in running a commercial school within a residential area without obtaining any permission from the authorities.
V Ravichandran appearing for the petitioner pointed out that the GHMC had sealed the building twice for running the school without proper permission. Earlier a single judge of the court had ordered the officials of the GHMC to ensure that Narayana management had been refrained from running the school.
Justice Nagarjuna Reddy directed the municipal authorities to file a counter in the case. They filed an affidavit admitting that the school had indeed broken open the seal. Meanwhile the said school students and parents filed another plea not to disturb them for now. The judge clubbed both the cases and posted them for hearing to January 18.
