Hyderabad: AICC secretary RC Kuntia said that the TRS government has failed to place its proposal of 12 per cent reservation to the Muslims even after 18 months of coming to power. Several MIM leaders joined the Congress party in the presence of Kuntia at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Kuntia said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s assurance of providing 12 per cent reservation to Muslims within four months after coming to power has miserably failed. He also alleged that Rao has not even prepared a proposal.

He called upon the Muslims to extend their support to the secular Congress. Meanwhile, MIM leaders Abdul Nayeem, Manwar Ali, Abdul Khalid, Arshad Bin Omar, Munshad Pasha, Ali Amjad and 200 others joined Congress.
