Mahbubnagar: National president of BC Sankshema Sangam R Krishnaiah warned the TDP government of dire consequences if the Kapus were admitted to the BCs’ list. While talking to media in Mahbubnagar on Thursday, Krishnaiah said that the Kapu community was a highly developed community and it was unjust on their part to come up with such a demand.

“Already the BCs are suppressed in many ways. Despite having more than 27 per cent of the population, we are not getting our share in education, jobs and politics,” he complained. The majority of the BCs are struggling to eke out their living in the rural areas.

If any political-minded decision is taken by the TDP government, we will not hesitate to go to any extent to resist the government’s move,” warned Krishnaiah. Meanwhile, upset over the moves of the Andhra Pradesh government to include Kapus in the BCs’ list, BC Sankshema Sangham and other BC organisations have staged protests in front of district collectorates across the State on Thursday.

Krishnaiah took on the TRS government for dilly-dallying to release the notifications for various government posts. “There are lakhs of posts vacant in the government. But the TRS government is not filling the posts and passing the time by keeping the unemployed youth in limbo.” Krishnaiah warned the TRS government of another Telangana agitation by youth if the government fails to fulfill its promise of providing jobs to lakhs of unemployed youth in the state.
