The Gachibowli Indoor Stadium will transform into the heart of the ‘Tomorrowland, Belgium’ dance floor from Friday, as Budwesier brings the three-day ‘UNITE- Mirror to Tomorrowland’ to the city.

Aligning with Budwesier’s current campaign ‘Brewed The Hard Way’ the lineup features popular Indian artistes like Lost Stories, Anish Sood, Kerano B2B Joshi and Candice Redding, who will perform at ‘Unite’.

The event is a remarkable feat as it builds bridges between Belgium and the rest of the world as Budweiser will live stream performances of internationally acclaimed DJs like Nicky Romero, Afrojack and Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike at the ‘mirror’ event in India.

The concert in the city will feature iconic decorations along with a massive, specially designed themed stage with special effects, pyro and CO2 machines that will be synced with the main stage in Belgium.

South African DJ of French-Canadian descent, Candice Redding, who made a mark for herself in genres like Electro House, Progressive, Deep Techno house and Techno is all set to bring her diverse vibe to ‘Unite’.

Straight after a show in Mumbai on Friday, the 26-year-old DJ is set to woo the people of Hyderabad with her performance scheduled on Saturday. In a candid interview, the DJ speaks about her journey - from modeling and singing, to dancing and entertaining massive crowds with her selective music.

Any special tracks for ‘Unite’?
Yes! I’m going to be dropping a track in collaboration with another DJ duo at its official live release! No hints until then.

What is the inspiration behind your tracks?
It’s all about energy for me. From places to people and from the sun to the moon – it's everything around me. My tracks are a deciphering of all the energies I feel, into music.

From South Africa to India, how was the journey?
It’s been super interesting! It was a hell of a culture shock at first but, it’s definitely one of the most exhilarating things to ever happen in my life.

Why did you choose India as your base?
India chose me.

In your opinion, why aren’t there more women in this field?
To begin with, not everybody can decide to be a musician and become one overnight. It takes years of practice, a lot of hard work and it has to be your life.

I started my career when I was 14 years old. I worked really hard and it hasn’t been easy to get where I am today; but I don’t think that has anything to do with my gender.

At the end of the day, it’s all about the music and if you work hard enough and are passionate enough, you’ll make it regardless of whether you’re a man or a woman.

You were a model and a singer. Why choose music for a career and not the fashion industry instead?
I was a child singer and as a child you have 100 different aspirations. Singing was amazing but, it was just to pass time; I never wanted to be a Britney Spears.

I still model, but only for big designers. And honestly, how many women can have a modeling career past the age of 30? But even when I’m 60 and all shriveled up, you’ll still be hearing my music everywhere.

Tell us about interests?
I love to travel. I’m seriously into high end fashion; I own about 1,276 pairs of shoes and I’m obsessed with my dog Moschino.

What are your future plans?
I have upcoming original track releases as well as some collaboration in the works as of now. I plan on releasing them later this year, whenever I can get away from my busy schedule.
