The budget hotel category IBIS of Accor group that focuses on efficiency and comfort for the business travellers has added the much-needed style edge for the leisure traveller with the launch of the first IBIS Styles.

The new IBIS Styles Goa Calangute takes on the fun element from the word ‘Go’ with the splashes of colour in the reception/lobby, the casually dressed service staff, and a warm welcome with a hat and quintessentially Goan music creating a happy and resort like mood.

Unlike the 24-hour coffee shops at other IBIS hotels – SpiceIt that are usually plain and practical; here, a few elements are added giving that quirky playfulness combined with colourful upholstery and elements of wood adding to the warmth, yet retaining the practicality of having a simple multi-cuisine buffet spread with a live kitchen, uncluttered seating, high stools for babies et al. Interestingly the restaurant offers the longest possible breakfast time – 8 hours.

The hotel is built in such a way that the entire 197 rooms (that are bigger and with a private balcony) look towards the pool including the restaurant. Unlike plug-in bathrooms that the brand has standardised, the stylised version of IBIS has larger specially built bathrooms.

For action-oriented guests are the facilities for table tennis, foosball and visualised cricket. Adding to the fun element is the selfie centre and there is also an option to take a snap underwater in the pool with the help of GoPro cameras. Goa is best enjoyed on bicycles, which too are provided by the hotel.

While all the facilities are as per the brand regulations; small, yet significant changes make IBIS Styles Goa Calangute, a niche property in the economy leisure segment. Ibis Styles Goa Calangute offers a launch discount of 50 per cent on additional kids’ room on every booking of deluxe room night stay with breakfast until December 15, 2016.
