Siddipet: Activists of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) on Friday organised a dharna at the office of the Revenue Divisional Officer in the town demanding the government to take steps to solve the problems of the Anganwadi workers.
Members of the State Anganwadi Workers and Helpers’ Union participated in the protest programme. Sepaking to the media, Jayalakshmi, CITU general secretary, said that she had represented to District Collector Venkatram Reddy the demands of the Anganwadi workers.
They include withdrawal of GO 14 on money transfer system and steps to check harassment of officials and politicians.
