Cotton worth `8L gutted

Bhainsa: Owing to a short circuit, cotton worth Rs 8 lakh were reduced to ashes in Bhagyalaxmi Cotton Industry at Bhainsa town in Nirmal district on Tuesday.

After noticing the mishap, labourers in the industry rang up the fire station personal who rushed to the spot and put out the flames.

Speaking to the media, Town Circle Inspector of Police Raghu said that a case has been registered investigation was in progress.

The reasons for the short circuit were still not known.
