Khammam: State executive member of CPM Pothineni Sudharshan Rao urged the party activists to strive hard for fulfilling the dreams of senior leader of the party late Manchikanti Ramkishan Rao.

The CPM leaders paid rich tributes to Manchikanti on the occasion of his 22nd death anniversary at Sundaraiah Bhavan in Khammam on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Sudharshan Rao said Manchikanti was one among the main leaders who led the Telangana Sayudha Poratam from front. He strived for the uplift of weaker sections during his tenure as MLA, Rao recalled.

“Following his footsteps, everyone must lead a movement for the welfare of people and oppose anti-peoples policies adopted by the Central and State governments,” he appealed.

CPM party district secretary Ponnam Venkateshwarlu said Manchikanti worked hard for strengthening Communists movements in the district. The life of Manchikanti is an ideal for many upcoming young generations, he suggested.

Party State committee member Nunna Nageshwar Rao, Yerra Srikanth, Kalyanam Venkateshwar Rao, Battula Lenin, M Ramesh, T Bhaskar Rao, B Ramesh, Afroz Sameena, M Bharathi, B Padma, N Manohar, B Malsoor, V Srinivas Rao, K Narasimha Rao, M Satyanarayana Rao and K Srinivasulu were present along with others.
