Nirmal: The road to Nanded from Bhainsa bears the bitter fact of how the national highways have been used by trucks which are parked on this road quite often causing lot of inconvenience to the people and others motoring on this route. Traffic disruptions take place frequently.
The situation persisted when there was an RTO check-post near this area where the RTO would inspect the vehicles and check the documents of drivers as Bhainsa is a neutral venue between the States of Telangana and Maharashtra.
Moreover, the town has a flourishing cotton market. Now, though the check post has been shifted to the road near Beltaroda village of Tanur mandal in Adilabad district. However, the traffic jams are not cleared quickly.
No wonder, in future, this road may become an accident prone area and the people living around this road expressed their agony towards the indifference of the authorities concerned.
Quite often, it is found that the local police department officials intercept and inspect the vehicles coming on the roads to know whether the vehicle owners carry the proper documents or not. But, they never bothered to look into the inconveniences caused to general public.
The RTO check-post has now been replaced with another taxation office, but one must understand the inconvenience caused to the commuters.
Especially, this road which heads to Nanded has many hotels at this point where the truck drivers have a meal and take rest for some time. This, in turn, is causing lot of inconvenience to the commuters who travel on this route.
Speaking to The Hans India here on Friday, Prasad, a resident of Bhosi said that they always have a harrowing time going on this route.
He said that he commutes between Bhosi to Bhainsa quite often and he could avoid road mishaps in such accident prone areas by staying alert while driving.
Hope the authorities concerned focus on this and take an alternate measure to clear the vehicles on the road, he added.
