​Khammam: The representatives of All India Youth Federation (AIYF) staged a dharna here in front of Collectorate demanding that the government provide jobs or pay unemployment pension of Rs 5,000 per month, in Khammam on Tuesday.

Speaking to media, AIYF district general secretary Siddineni Karnakumar alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao came to power by promising one lakh jobs, which he did not fulfill. “He is cheating youth only with paper statements and notifications without materialising them,” he said.

He urged all unemployed youth to fight united to teach a fitting lesson to KCR and also his Ministers and MLA’s, who were leading luxurious life by enhancing their salaries and investing public money in unnecessary schemes and projects neglecting the students’ issues and unemployed youth in the State.

He alleged that TRS government was deceiving innocent people belonging to SC, ST and BC’s by not allotting funds in budget. He demanded the government pay Rs 5,000 per month to all the unemployed youth who enrolled their names in the employment office, release the DSC notification immediately apart from recruiting Gurukul teachers by old method.

Later, the police officials arrested the agitating leaders and sent them to Two Town police station. District president of AIYF Abburi Mahesh, Md Gouse Pasha, Katukuri Sathish Reddy, Mddoju Shravan, Pothula Sudharshan, SK Ramzan, SK Khaleel, Kollu Ravi, Potu Naga Raju, Gangadhar, Sai, Madhu and Dasari Pullaiah were present along with others.
