If you get whiteheads on the sides of the nose and on the chin, then do not pinch them with the nails in an effort to remove them. This can lead to infection and will leave marks on the skin. A proper cleansing routine is important, according to the skin type. The use of facial scrubs helps to discourage white heads.
If you get whiteheads on the sides of the nose and on the chin, then do not pinch them with the nails in an effort to remove them. This can lead to infection and will leave marks on the skin. A proper cleansing routine is important, according to the skin type. The use of facial scrubs helps to discourage white heads.
If the skin is very dry, then use the scrub only once a week and only on the areas with whiteheads. For oily skin, scrubs can be used more often. But, scrubs should not be applied on pimples, acne or rash. Some home remedies are said to help the problem of whiteheads.
Make a paste of fenugreek leaves and apply daily on the face, wash it off after an hour. Grated potato or potato juice can be applied too. Drink six to eight glasses of water daily. Add lemon juice to a glass of water and drink it every morning. Drinking barley water is also said to help whiteheads.
Give your hair proper and regular care. Avoid tying the hair tightly with rubber bands. Avoid using hair dryers and brushes. Use a wide-toothed comb. Heat pure coconut oil and apply on the hair, twice a week. Apply on the ends too. Then dip a towel in hot water, squeeze out the water and wrap the hot towel around the head, like a turban. Keep it on for five minutes. Repeat the hot towel wrap three to four times.
This helps the hair and scalp absorb the oil better. Use a mild herbal shampoo. Use less shampoo and rinse well with water. After shampoo, apply a creamy conditioner, taking less quantity and massaging it lightly into the hair. Leave on for two minutes and rinse off with plain water. Or, you can apply a “leave-on” type of conditioner or hair serum. Apply the same way, but do not rinse off.
If you are in the early 40s and wrinkles are already appearing on your face then I will suggest you adopt a regular skin-care routine, which will help to delay ageing signs and avoid problems. Moreover, when problems begin to occur, the skin-care routine and products should be adjusted, according to one’s needs.
For instance, in cases of deep dehydration, the use of soap can be discontinued, so that further dryness and sensitivity are prevented and the sensitive skin can be nourished and nursed back to good health. Your daily routine should lay more emphasis on moisturising the skin and prevention of moisture loss.
Begin to protect the skin from the factors that cause dryness, like exposure to the sun, artificial heating, air conditioning, chemical air pollutants, and makeup cosmetics, etc. A suitable sunscreen, along with a moisturiser should be used during the day, especially when you go out. Include products that have built-in moisturisers. At night, massage with a nourishing cream and remove with moist cotton wool before bedtime. Have weekly salon facials with massage, exfoliation, mask and toning.
