Khammam: District secretary of Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) Nunna Nageswara Rao here on Sunday informed that from January onwards, under T-Mass, the CPM party would fight for peoples’ issues demanding immediate redressal measures from the government. Taking part in the door-to-door campaign along with Chikatimalla Srinivas at Gandhinagar area in Three Town of Khammam city on Sunday, Nunna said the main aim of the CPM was to fight for downtrodden, and uplift them by seeking government’s help.

“Both the State and Central governments did not fulfil their poll promises even after completion of three-and-a-half years of rule. They are investing crores of rupees unnecessarily and wasting the public money,” he alleged.

Demanding the government to allot double bedroom houses to thousands of homeless poor in Khammam city, Nunna stated that the party would start protests in January in support of their demands. He further urged people and representatives of people’s organisations to extend their support and take part in the protests.

CPM leaders Y Srikanth, Y Srinivas Rao, T Lingaiah, P Naga Sulochana, M Sathyam, P Upendra Chary, S Veera Babu, M Srinivas, R Hanumantha Chary, G Pullaiah, Y Nagesh, M Ugendar, Lakshmaiah, V Rangamma, J Lakshmi and Kanakamma were present along with others.
