Hyderabad: A festival mood filled in the premises of Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, on Friday for the celebration of Telangana Traditional festival, Bonalu. Teachers and children dressed up in traditional attires holding the exquisitely decorated pots holding the Bonum. The procession was lead by the Principal, Jayanthi Venkataraman and the Vice-Principal, Anuradha Pramod.

Traditional offering Bonum was offered by the Goddess Yellamma and the holy prasadam was distributed among everyone. The celebration began by seeking blessing of the Goddess by a prayer song. In these days when we depend on outside food we should not forget the tradition of our country and state to instill in the young minds the unity in diversity the student were taught to integrate our tradition & culture in our day to day life. The programme concluded with the Vice Principal Sarita Raja addressing the children and wishing for their good health and happiness.
