Green tea is unprocessed tea leaves that come with abundant health benefits. Green tea is a rich source of flavonoids called “catechins”. But the most potent catechins in green tea are EGCG (EpiGalloCatechin Gallate) . It fights cancer in all stages. Green tea appears to have reduced bad cholesterol (LDL) and body weight on prolonged use.

How to add green tea to your diet

1. Brew green tea, sweeten with honey and spice it with chilli and lime, chill. Serve this invigorating drink on ice.

2. Brew green tea, chill, add orange zest and homemade jellies to make a healthy dessert

3. Soak green tea leaves in warm milk for at least 30 minutes and use this milk for various recipes like making pudding, setting curd, for making ice cream

4. Brew green tea add mint and slightly sweeten with honey and set in fridge in ice cube tray. Use it for lemonades and other drinks . Variate this recipe by adding ginger juice while setting up the ice.

5. Brew green tea and use it as stock for making soups, broths, hummus etc.
