Early Detection Saves Women From Breast Cancer, Breast Cancer Awareness, Cancer Screening Camp. As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute organised a Breast Cancer Awareness Programme and Free Cancer Screening Camp on Saturday in Hyderabad.
As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute organised a Breast Cancer Awareness Programme and Free Cancer Screening Camp on Saturday in Hyderabad. On this occasion the hospital observed Breast Cancer Survivors Day also. Noted social activist Mamtha Goenka from Mumbai participated in this programme as chief guest.
Speaking on this occasion Nandamuri Balakrishna, chairman, Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute expressed concern over the escalating trend of cancer cases day by day in the country. He said that early detection saves women from breast cancer. “Women should undergo for mammogram tests frequently.
Through regular mammogram tests breast cancer can be identified at early stage. And there is a great need to bring awareness also in the public to abate the cancer. Our hospital is committed for the eradication of cancer as it is the dream of my father and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nandamuri Tarakaramarao”, he said. Chief guest Mamtha Goenka explained how she had conquered breast cancer. “By self-examination, women can easily recognise it at early stages. My humble request is every women should follow this practice and save themselves from breast cancer in time", she said.
