Engineer makes a fashion statement

There's a fresh face on the fashion circuit and the honour goes to mana city. Hailing from a Telugu household and with absolutely no experience in modelling, Bhavishya Veeramachaneni was recently crowned the runner up of the Max Fashion Icon 2015-Cosmopolitan. Here is an excerpt from her interview

How did you take up modelling?

My school teacher encouraged me to take it up though I was not sure about it. But in my college I happened to take up the challenge where I was lucky enough to be picked as

The Max Fashion Icon. Later I had to audition for the next stage of the event where I was picked as one of the four finalists. I then went for the finals in New Delhi which was a dream come true moment.

How are you handling modelling assignments?

Initially it was very hard and I spent sleepless nights as I had to work with senior models. All the hard work paid off but I'm still learning. The first time I modelled was when I walked the ramp for a brand called Kaira.

What does walking on the ramp mean to you?

It was something which I was always passionate about. Walking on the ramp is where my ultimate happiness lies. It makes me a complete different person when I walk with utmost confidence as if I have achieved something amazing.

What is your go-to-fashion inspiration?

My style statement is not about getting inspired from someone. It's all about experimenting and looking better. So self inspiration is the best

inspiration.

Any interests of foraying into films?

I'm more interested in modelling right now and want to focus on studies simultaneously.

What are you currently studying and what do you aspire to do after that?

I'm currently pursuing my B. Tech 1st year in

informationtechnology from Gurunanak Institutions Technical Campus. I would want to continue modelling and pursue Masters in the US and would like to try to make a mark there too.
