DIY décor ideas

As we prepare to decorate the home for the Christmas season with stars, lights, tree and other embellishments, here are some ideas to make your home look party perfect. These options can be easily put together at home in no time.

Lights in a bottle: Find a wine bottle, (drink the wine, of course) and place serial lights or fairy lights. Place the bottle at the corner of a room or if possible, find a way to drill holes in it and hang in the room.

Paper star garland: On a thick paper of your choice of colour, cut out stars of different sizes. Turn them upside-down. Line them up and sew them in a straight line down the middle, with a sewing machine. The garland can then be hung to decorate windows or just about any place.

Holiday shakers: Turn glass salt shakers into mini winter wonderlands. Place toy evergreens and reindeer in a glass bottle that has some salt in it.

Candy in stemmed glassware: Serve holiday candy in stemmed glasses for that extra luxurious, holiday factor. Place it alongside the other Christmas goodies.
