Manasvani, a brainchild of yoga guru Mansi Gulati and an active social activist, was inaugurated on Sunday. The NGO recognises, awards and supports inspirational people who are often camouflaged by their works and often go unnoticed.

Speaking on the occasion, Mansi Gulati said, “In 2010, when I moved into the field of society welfare, I felt that the aid work being done lacked in two important elements: care and reflection.

We are all running around the world, helping others and not a minute to take stock of our actions, to look after and within ourselves. I challenge the idea that by simply creating our cozy self-care practice and “being the change”, the world will transform through some kind of magical awareness.”

“Manasvani, means self controlled, wise, sensible, and refers to the action that comes from a reflective practice. Somehow aid work needs to be a reflective practice. Our sector does well at loving humanity but not the human beings, and that needs to change,” she added.
