Dhruv, who in a remarkable coincidence was born on August 19 that is the ‘World Photography Day’, learned the art from his father, Rakesh J Soni, who is a photographer himself. The young prodigy used to take snaps during holidays to perfect his craft.

“The privilege of handling a camera while receiving universal admiration for his natural eye of framing and timing only added to his passion and slowly his creativity had taken many crossroads after mastering studio settings and even FCP (Video editing software) at the age of 13 updating his skill set with new age techniques through observation, research and experimentation,” shared his father.

The talented youngster raised in Hyderabad has his share of interesting anecdotes to share such as his journey of pre-wedding shoot with his brother, capturing the beauty of the rustic Udaipur and Jodhpur in Rajasthan and consistently experimenting with creative side of photography and expanding his knowledge in this domain.

Dhruv has never bunked school to pursue his dream of photography, he believes balance is key to both commitments. Presently the 15-year-old professional is a well-known name in the event and photography circuit with a myriad list national and international projects to his credit. He teaches children photographers during his spare time and dreams of pursuing filmmaking at New York Film Academy.
