‘Kal, Aaj Aur Kal’ (Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow), is a journey of generations from the end of the 19th century to the prospect of future growth of Hyderabad. The journey consists of various photographs and maps showcasing the monuments, landscapes and an array of visuals of Hyderabad.
The 19th century Hyderabad unfolds through the collection of Kalakriti Archives. The works of Raja Deen Dayal take you to the time of Nizam’s dynasty, which ruled Hyderabad, until the Independence. This journey also takes you through the present scenario showcasing the evolution of the city landscape over the years through contemporary artists and a glimpse of the future in store.
The exhibition also lets you walk around some of the famed landmarks of this legendary city through the 360 VR experience. The video screen makes Hyderabad come alive for you as it was in the 1960’s through the eyes of Narsingh Rao and with aerial shots of architecture and landscape as of today being shot by Rajagopal.
This project is being presented by the Telangana Government and Kalakriti Archives and curated by Prshant Lahoti. Contributing photographers are Raja Deendayal, Kamal Kasturi, Ambareesh Pitte, Saurabh Chatterjee, Rajesh Pamnani and Alle Srikanth.
Yesteryears video footage by Narsingh Rao, present-day video footage by Rajgopal Madishetty, virtual reality (VR) video footage by Dr Neeraj Raj, and futuristic urban representation by Mohammed Faisal, are being showcased at the expo.
