Hyderabad: State BC Welfare Association president Jajula Srinivas on Friday warned that there would be serious consequences if no apology is tendered for the comments of Congress MLA Revanth Reddy against Finance Minister Etala Rajender.

Addressing an emergency meeting of the association in BC Bhavan, he said the comments were being viewed by the organisation as made against BCs. Srinivas claimed that Reddy seemed to keen about suppressing BCs for giving power to high castes.

He demanded withdrawal of the comments by MLA against the minister who was responsible for providing fine rice to the residents of` 119 BC hostels. ‘If Reddy fails to withdraw the comments he would not be allowed to move in Telangana. People will teach him a lesson, Srinivas warned.

Among those present at the meeting were BC Vidyarthi Sangham leaders K Srinivas, Nagesh, Lingam Goud.
