Kacheguda: Students writing the Intermediate supplementary exams (Maths 2-B) from 2.30 to 5.30 pm at Nrupatunga College on Thursday faced hard hardships due to power cuts on account of heavy rains that lashed during the day.

They had to put up with power cut for two hours from 3 pm during which they were forced to sit idle as there were no alternative measures. The principal allegedly advised them to complete the task sitting in the water-logged corridor.

The students complained that they were not given any extra time to finish the paper. As a result, many could not complete the exam. Some broke down fearing failure. They alleged that the college management did not take any responsibility for the day’s happenings.
