The secretaries of mosques in the area and residents from different communities gathered at the BT road foundation ceremony here on Sunday.

Local corporator Pannala Devender Reddy laid foundation for BT roads worth Rs 1.80 crore on Sunday. The corporator informed the gathering that Rs two lakh from government has been sanctioned for Iftar and distribution of clothes. Jama Masjid president Habib Khan, Umar Bhai of Idgah masjid and others were present.

He urged the division people to take responsibility of the roads. The corporator also urged them not to dig holes on the roads. Assistant engineer Venu, Ward Committee members T Srinivas Goud, Praveen, Division president R Satish, vice-president Dayakar Reddy, Women wing president Shobha were present. Later Pannala presided a meeting with president and secretaries of Masjids on the eve of Ramzan month.
