Siddipet: Monitoring the implementation of the scheme post the scheduled period, the District Rythu Bandhu Scheme Special Officer and State Housing Special Principal Secretary Chitra Ramachandram said the official and the public representatives should work with coordination to make the government’s prestigious scheme a complete success in the district.

During her surprise visit at the Land Records Updation and Purification (LRUP) programme at Thunki-Bollaram in Mulugu mandal on Tuesday, she said the LRUP program was a great initiative by the state government for the clearance of the decades-old land issues of the farmers in the state. Occurring minor errors and corrections in the newly issued patta passbooks were inexorable which would be rectified soon, she stated.

The role of officials who worked round the clock for the purification of land records in the LRUP project in mere 100 days is laudable. By this program, the farmers are now aware of the problems regarding their land records and issues in the state, noted the officer.

Later, interacting with the farmers at Thornala village of Siddipet mandal, the State Housing Special Chief Secretary enquired about the issues of pending distribution and correction of land patta passbooks and also cleared some of the issues under her purview on the spot ordering the officials to resolve remaining pending issues like passbooks of non-surveyed land records and other technicalities.

So far, out of 690 passbooks for 1,500 agriculture land out of 2205 total land, 15 books were not issued due to expiration of farmers and land disputes and court cases, mentioned the Joint Collector Padmakar, RDO Muthyam Reddy, GADA Hunumantha Rao, Tahsildars, MPTCs, Village Sarpanches, RSS Convenors and VROs and others were also present at the meeting.
