Civic officials stage novel drive against plastic use

Rajendranagar: Rajendranagar division civic staff took up a novel campaign against the use of plastic or polythene on Monday. The staff along with deputy commissioner A Vijayalaxmi wore the plastic bags and gave slogan ‘imagine how would you feel trapped inside a plastic bag’.

They visited some localities and interacted with people to educate them about the polythene menace affecting the environment. The staff persuaded the residents to refrain from using it. The GHMC staff members told the locals that people need to join in fight against the plastic suffocation of planet.
