Deploy lady police in Cantt to regulate traffic, say locals

Secunderabad: The Open Secunderabad Cantonment All Roads (OSCAR) submitted a letter to District Collector office on 18 June for its intervention in the roads closure issue in Secunderabad Cantonment. They say that the local administration should intervene and ensure that all the remaining 16 closed roads are reopened and also deploy lady police and traffic personnel at all cantonment roads to ease the traffic flow.
OSCAR members state that DGDE letter calls for the local district administration and police to coordinate with both LMA for the quick reopening of roads, S Chandrashekar of OSCAR, said, “As there is no such communication happening between the local administration and LMA over the issue of closure of roads and placement of police personal at the cantonment roads, the letter was submitted to the district collector Yogita Rana to take immediate action over the issue and convene meeting with all elected board members and traffic personal to direct the LMA to follow the given orders from Mod and also place Mahila police as per the SOP of MoD for any kind of frisking when required on doubtful situation.”
According to the reliable sources, “No such letter was given to the district administration from LMA asking to coordinate with them to reopen the roads and furnish other requirements as mentioned by MoD. They are maintaining silence even after 30 days of orders being issued.”
