Gajwel : Siddipet Collector P Venkat Ram Reddy warned the land grabbers of stringent action would be taken against the illegal land grabbing and encroachment of government lands in the district.
The collector said complaints were received regarding the illegal land grabbing of 1 acre and 32 guntas in survey number 490 behind Andhra Bank at Pragnapur in the town which costs Rs 4 crore market value by Bukka Ramesh and Bukka Venkatesh of Gajwel and the legal notices were issued twice in the past against the land grabbers regarding the same. The parallel investigation had been underway by the Joint Collector to find out other land grabbers who were involved in the illegal encroachment while occupying the land at the same time.
Criminal cases would be registered including strict legal actions against the encroachers, said the collector who held a review meeting with Gajwel RDO Tahsildar and GADA officer at the Tahsildar office here. Later, the Collector inspected the development works of integrated vegetable market and its premises to ease the traffic in the area. Marketing officials, Gajwel Municipal Chairman G Bhaskar and other public representatives were also present at the meeting.
