Chandrayangutta: Following complaints from general public that nuisance and sound pollution marred at Noori function place on the intervening night of July 21 and 22, the police arrested nine persons including bridegroom.
The organisers had allegedly engaged ‘belly dancers’ from Russia on the night the function was held.
According to police, during the night hours on July 22 the police received complaints and stopped the music orchestra and booked sound pollution case.
However, after VIPs and police left, the bridegroom Yahiya bin Salam Bahamed and valima organiser Abdullah and alleged Russian women engaged in the nuisance, which later went viral on social media.
This prompted the police to act and DCP, South Zone instructed the local Inspector Naveen to investigate the matter.
A total of nine persons were arrested including the Russian Ramesh Babu, 50, who supplies the Russain dancers for events.
