Kargil war heroes remembered
The country celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas every year on 26 July to honour the Kargil war heroes A Wreath Laying Ceremony was conducted by Headquarters, Telangana and Andhra Sub Area TASA at Veerula Sainik Smarak, Secunderabad to commemorate the 19th anniversary of the Kargil conflict
Secunderabad: The country celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas every year on 26 July to honour the Kargil war heroes. A Wreath Laying Ceremony was conducted by Headquarters, Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA) at ‘Veerula Sainik Smarak’, Secunderabad to commemorate the 19th anniversary of the Kargil conflict.
Brigadier MD Upadhyay, Station Commander & Deputy General Officer Commanding (Dy GOC) and Commandants of AOC Centre, Arty Centre, Military Hospital, Secunderabad, representative of 1 EME centre on behalf of Commandant were amongst the senior Military dignitaries in the military station who laid wreaths at ‘Veerula Sainik Smarak’ and paid tributes to War heroes for their supreme sacrifice to safeguard the security of the nation.
The occasion was celebrated to recognise the country's victory in the Kargil conflict. The Indian Army evicted Pakistani intruders and recaptured, among other important posts, Tiger Hill, as part of Operation Vijay.
