Books, bags distributed to poor students

Jagadgirigutta: Members of the Lord Welfare Association on Monday celebrated the birthday of Lion Dr Gattamaneni Babu Rao in BHEL MIG Colony. They distributed books and bags to poor students, saris and food to municipal women workers.

Addressing the colony residents, president of the association Lion Dr Suresh Kumar stated that it was arranging free distribution of breakfast and food to poor students in several areas with Dr Rao as the inspiration. He called upon people to take up social welfare activities inspiring one another. Lion Peri Venkataramana praised Dr rao and Suresh of the association for providing support to aged women by offering free food and medicines through the Gattamaneni Krishnayya Care Centre.
