Hyderabad: Clarifying that the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) will stay away from the ongoing united Andhra struggle in Seemandhra region, its founder president Manda Krishna Madiga, on Sunday, announced that he would soon launch a movement to achieve ‘social and caste-free society’ in the newly created Telangana State.

Participating in a press meet, organised by Telangana Journalists Union on ‘Telangana – future plans’, he said the objective of the MRPS was to fulfil the dreams of Dr BR Ambedkar and Karl Marx who strove for the creation of a socialistic society with equal opportunities to all sections of people.

Alleging that some political forces dominated by forward castes who are eyeing to capture power in Telangana State again, Krishna Madiga said the benefits of formation of Telangana will not reach the needy until Dalits were given equal participation in politics in the new State.

Demanding TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao to stick to his promise of making a Dalit the first Chief Minister in the new State, he said if KCR betrayed the community, he will be treated as ‘Telangana traitor.’ Strongly supporting the separate Rayalaseema State demand, the MRPS leader said the Dalit organisations actively participated in Telangana movement and his community’s contribution in realising separate state was equal to KCR’s fight for Telangana.
